Peer Mentorship Highlights
- One-on-one support with a peer mentor outside the group setting
- Builds trust, connection, and encouragement through real-life conversation
- Helps members set goals, navigate challenges, and stay on track
- Strengthens long-term growth through community and belonging

Peer mentorship gives Project HEART members the opportunity to connect one-on-one with someone who understands their journey firsthand. These meetings are relaxed, personal, and focused on support; offering encouragement, perspective, and practical guidance outside of a group setting. Mentorship strengthens trust and provides a steady connection that helps members stay focused and supported.

Unlike traditional counseling, peer mentorship is built on shared experience and mutual respect. Mentors help members set goals, navigate difficult situations, and build confidence through consistent check-ins and real conversation. This kind of relationship can be especially powerful during high stress seasons; when someone needs immediate encouragement, help thinking clearly, or simply a safe person to talk to.
Peer mentorship helps transform participation into belonging. Over time, members feel more connected to the Project HEART community and more confident in their ability to manage life’s challenges. These relationships reinforce healthy decision-making, strengthen motivation, and support long-term growth by reminding each person: you’re not doing this alone.
